Carl Pelini at Big Red of the Rockies '08 Banquet
Nebraska defensive coordinator Carl Pelini will be the guest at Big Red of the Rockies 2008 Banquet on Sunday, May 25 (Memorial Day Weekend).
The banquet will take place at the Lake Shore Lodge, Estes Park, Colorado. A reception will take place at 5:00 p.m., and dinner at 6:30 p.m. There will be a social hour, drawings, prime rib buffet dinner, and autograph signing. Cost is $50 for adults and $25 for children aAge 12 and under.
The event is hosted by Big Red of the Rockies 970.586.1088. Reservations are required.

Scholarships
Panhandle Alumni Scholarship
Scholarship applications are available in counselors' offices and due February 15 each year. For more information contact Barb Schlothauer, 632-1207.Scholarships for 2008-09 were awarded to five Panhandle students. Thanks to all the great applicants! Five students each will receive $600.00.
Recognitions
Alumni of the Year Award
Award made to outstanding alumni in the panhandle each year. The 2007 award was presented to Rod Horn of Sidney.Nominations may be given to Barb Schlothauer in January of each year.
Honors
The University of Nebraska Alumni Chapter was recognized as the Alumni Chapter of the Year, 1994-1995,and Red Letter Chapter recognition 1997-98, 2001-2002, 2002-2003, 2003-2004, 2004-2005, 2005-2006, 2006-2007, and 2007-08.
Memberships
Open to all UNL alumni and friends of the University.
Yearly and life memberships to UNL Alumni Association may be paid at any time. Barb Schlothauer has forms available in the Foundation and Alumni Office, Scottsbluff.
