Dr. Linda Boeckner

Extension Nutrition Specialist

Dr. Linda Boeckner is an Extension Nutrition Specialist for the University of Nebraska Panhandle Research and Extension Center. She received her education at the University of Nebraska and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. The Doctor of Philosopy degree was awarded in May, 1982 from the University of Nebraska. 

Prior to joining the staff at the University of Nebraska Panhandle Research and Extension Center in January 1987, Linda worked as a registered dietitian in the North Carolina public health service for the Special Supplemental Foods Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), and
taught introductory nutrition, meal management and nutrition through the life cycle courses for the University of Nebraska on a part-time appointment. 

Her current Extension programs focus on reducing risk of lifestyle diseases through diet, weight management, and nutrition and fitness for youth.
