Dr. Arden Wohlers' primary
responsibility is beef cattle production and health. He also works on
issues concerning other livestock, wildlife, agroterrorism, food safety,
and companion animals.
Dr. Wohlers did his undergraduate
work at the University of Nebraska before obtaining his B.S. and D.V.M
at Colorado State University. He was in private practice in Scottsbluff
for many years following brief periods in Wyoming and Colorado. After
completing the Beef Cattle Production Management Series at the Great Plains
Veterinary Education Center he joined the University of Nebraska as an
assistant professor serving as extension veterinarian in the western part
of the state.
