C. Dean Yonts is the Water Resources Engineer and Associate Professor at the Panhandle Research and Extension Center. Dean received his B.S. in 1974 and his M.S. in 1978 in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Wyoming. His master's thesis topic was the climatic probability of irrigation water requirements. Dean worked as an agricultural consultant for one year prior to joining the University of Nebraska Panhandle Research and Extension Center in 1975 as a research technician. After completion of his master's degree, he was appointed to his current position as Water Resources Engineer in 1980. Dean's appointment is in the Biological Systems Engineering Department with both research and extension responsibilities in the area of water resources.
